  • I JUST GOT MY BLOOD DRAWN, WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT TO RECEIVE MY LAB RESULTS?
Turnaround times for lab results vary based on the labs that were requested. In general, you should expect to have results within 10 business days.
  • HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY RESULTS?
The recommended method to access your lab results is within your customer portal. When your labs have been delivered and reviewed by a provider, the provider will release lab results to the portal. You will receive an email notification when your lab results have been uploaded to your portal. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: There may be instances where a provider would like to speak with you about your results prior to the results being made available in the portal. The provider will make attempts to call you to review these results. If you have granted us permission to leave a voicemail with lab results, your provider will leave a message with specifics. If not, they will leave you a voicemail and ask that you contact us to schedule time to review your lab results. You can also call us at 404-480-5229 to schedule time with the provider via phone or in person.
  • HOW OFTEN WILL I BE REQUIRED TO GET LAB WORK COMPLETED?
Day 1, Day 30, and every 90 days thereafter.
  • WHY IS LAB WORK IMPORTANT?
To assure we are accomplishing the efficacy and objectives for our members in a safe and effective manner.
  • WHAT IF I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT MY LAB RESULTS, HOW DO I SET UP TIME TO SPEAK WITH MY PROVIDER?
Speaking with your provider about lab results is a great opportunity to get educated about your own health and well-being. At any point during your membership at nuber-T, you can request a clinical consultation. We recommend you call us at 404-480-5229 to set up time to speak with your provider about your lab results. This can be done in person or via phone, whichever you prefer.
  • WHAT’S IMPORTANT FOR ME TO KNOW ABOUT MY TESTOSTERONE LEVEL?
As an Integrative Medical Provider focused on men’s health, nuber-T’s reference range for testosterone level is based on optimal values to address common andropause symptoms. These symptoms can cause energy to decrease, excess body fat, low libido, and other health challenges as men age (even while maintaining optimal general health). nuber-T’s reference range for optimal testosterone is 800-1200 ng/dl.
  • WHAT IS FSH/LH, WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT?
This is important to understand testicular function for long-term sexual health and wellness.
  • WHAT IS THE PROVIDER LOOKING FOR WHEN IT COMES TO MY OVERALL HEALTH?
Meeting optimal member health and wellness objectives while tracking member success through results and lab work.
  • WHAT LAB WORK SHOULD I EXPECT ON EACH REPORT?
Lab Work is outlined on the Wellness Season Protocol flyer. If you don’t have one, pick one up at the concierge desk.
  • THE PROVIDER HAS ASKED THAT I DONATE BLOOD, WHY IS THIS NECESSARY?
Testosterone replacement therapy can sometimes make your blood thicken. By drinking plenty of water and donating blood from time to time we can prevent this from occurring.

  • "Testosterone replacement therapy isn’t safe.”
Testosterone replacement therapy is very safe. In fact, if your testosterone is low, it’s actually less safe to NOT get treated. Recent studies have shown that TRT actually reduces the risk of heart disease, early death, and diabetes in individuals with low T.
  • “The symptoms of low-T (low energy, low libido, etc) cannot be reversed.”
Incorrect! Most men who have symptoms of testosterone deficiency (low libido, low energy, inability to gain lean muscle, excess body fat, erectile issues, etc.) notice improvement after just 3-4 weeks of testosterone therapy. Just as symptoms of underactive thyroid are reversible with treatment, so are the symptoms of testosterone deficiency (aka low-T). Many symptoms of these symptoms (sometimes all of these symptoms) are completely reversed with healthy testosterone therapy administered by trained professionals.
  • “It’s natural for testosterone to decline with age, so I don’t have to treat it.”
Yes, testosterone decline after 30 is normal, but it’s still important to get your levels checked – especially since testosterone deficiency can increase risk of diabetes and heart disease, (and many other symptoms that most men want to avoid). Not addressing testosterone deficiency just because it naturally decreases over time is like not addressing cataracts that develop as you age. If you had cataracts, you’d go to an ophthalmologist for a simple procedure that would restore your vision. The same thought process should follow in cases of testosterone deficiency if unwanted symptoms exist.
  • “Once I start testosterone treatment, I won’t have the option to stop”
If testosterone treatment alleviates your symptoms and makes you feel better, you’ll likely want to continue treatment. But if for some reason you need or want to stop, you can do so at any time. If this is the case, tapering off of testosterone therapy gradually is important since your body will need a couple of weeks to restart its natural production of the hormone. Keep in mind that if you stop your testosterone therapy, your testosterone level will eventually settle back to its original, pre-treatment range and any symptoms you suffered previously will likely return. As a result, if testosterone is working to resolve your symptoms, keeping up with treatment is the best way to ensure they don’t resurface.
  • “Using testosterone will make me lose my hair or grow breasts.”
Growing excess breast tissue (man-boobs), is a condition called gynecomastia. Gynecomastia can develop within a small subset of men with an overactive enzyme called aromatase—the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to estrogen. Yes you heard that right, converting testosterone to estrogen. In other words, gynecomastia is a result of having too much estrogen. nuber-T Men’s Wellness League will constantly monitor your testosterone and estrogen levels in order to adjust your treatment as needed so you can steer clear of any unwanted side effects. Additionally, testosterone therapy includes estrogen defense to ensure members do not experience this symptom. Hair loss, on the other hand, is a genetic condition. In other words, if you have the male pattern baldness gene in your DNA, you will eventually lose hair regardless of whether or not you begin testosterone therapy. In that case, nuber-T can offer hair loss restoration services such as PRP injections which accelerates hair growth at the cellular level. If the male pattern baldness gene runs in your family, and you have not begun to experience hair thinning, PRP is also a great preventative solution.
